LASER HAIR REMOVAL ON WTNH'S CT STYLE

On Tuesday February 21st, Dr. Gold was featured on WTNH’s CT Style to talk about Laser Hair Removal.  He was so excited to be a part of the show, and got to share a lot about how the laser treatments work!  Women and sometimes even men will go to any length to get rid of unwanted hair.  Whether it is shaving, waxing, tweezing, or electrolysis, some people have tried it all.  Dr. Gold explained that on every square inch of our bodies (except for palms, bottoms of feet, and eyelids), we have anywhere from 500 to 1000 hair follicles!  Laser hair removal is one of the most effective ways of getting to all of those individual hairs in a timely and effective way.    Laser treatments can be done for all skin types, and almost anywhere on the body, except for in the eye area.  Dr. Gold explained that this treatment is a permanent reduction in hair growth, in that it treats all actively growing hair follicles.
