Laser Hair Restoration

  • Is FDA approved for safety
  • Harvard Medical School has documented that it works.

If you are among the millions of men and women in the US experiencing hair loss, shedding, male pattern baldness or menopausal thinning, we can help!

History: LASER HAIR THERAPY has been used successfully for hair loss in Europe for over ten years; recent use in the United States has been well documented.  Classified as a cosmetic laser,  the  Revage 670TM is safe for cosmetic use for both men and women.  The mechanism by which the laser  works has been well documented by the Wellman Labs for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University, both of whom have shown that it truly does work!

How Does It Work? Low level laser therapy or laser hair therapy uses therapeutic soft low-light level lasers also known as "cool" lasers that were developed in Europe for healing wounds, treating hair loss and other diseases of the scalp.

The Revage 670 laser works by stimulating the scalp (actually stimulates cell metabolism, protein synthesis, tissue and cartilage regeneration), dramatically increasing blood flow, and blocking the harmful hair loss effects of DHT (the culprit that tries to kill your hair follicles).  At the same time it creates an astonishing side effect: existing hair located within the radius of the laser beam grows thicker and longer because the laser treatment makes the scalp healthier.  The overall result is that it reactivates the dormant follicles to grow healthy hair and restores existing hair to total health.

Revage 670 is the only laser for thinning hair to employ RPT (Rotational Photo Therapy) which means the lasers rotate around your head (specific coordinates determined by your doctor), enabling coverage of the entire scalp through the use of many rotating diodes calibrated to precisely deliver consistent laser light throughout the treatment process.  This unique process is why it is the only thinning hair laser with scientific evidence from the likes of Harvard, showing that it works!

Men and Hair Loss

Hair loss in men is a problem with many causes: genetics, hormones and environmental issues, as well as diet and daily activity.  Their is old belief that hair loss is passed down genetically to men through their mother's genes or to women from their father's genes.  We now know that both parents contribute genetic material that may be involved.

The American Academy of Dermatology indicates two thirds of men suffer from some form of thinning hair or balding.  Dihydrotestosterone, also known as DHT attacks the hair follicles from within, which causes them to produce shorter and finer hairs before eventually dying out.  More >

Women and Hair Loss

Hair loss in women seems to be a much more complex issue. More that 20 million women suffer from androgenetic alopecia, the type of hair loss that can affect both men and women.  Women's hair loss is further complicated by telogen effluvium, a more diffuse and widespread hair loss more commenly seen in women than men.

Typically, a woman in her mid-30's to mid-50's will start to notice hair loss, but it can often begin even younger.  Probably synthetic hormones used in contraceptive and hormone replacement therapies is responsible for the rise in younger women developing genetic thinning.  Of course there are other factors involved.  More >

"The Revage 670 laser was introduced into my aesthetics practice approximately 18 months ago. We have found that our female patients who were diagnosed with a telogen effluvium, peri-menospausal related thinning, or female pattern baldness demonstrated the greatest amount of improvement."   Joseph S. Cervone MD
